Originally from Africa, guineafowl are prized for their dark, gamey-tasting meat. Newly hatched guineas, known as keets, are very active right from the start. Until they reach 12 weeks of age, the different colors of guineas can look similar and be difficult to distinguish. As they mature, guineas become active foragers and thrive on a diet of bugs, insects, ticks, weeds, and seeds. They are also known for their ability to alert attention to visitors or other occurrences. This assortment of guineafowl will include at least three different colors: Brown, Buff, Coral, Jumbo Pearl, Lavender, Opaline, Porcelain, Powder Blue, Purple, Slate, and White.
